Ok so I did not really touch him- duh. I know he is long since deceased. But I touched door knobs he touched- and walked where he walked- almost skinny dipped where he surely did too- in his own pool- but got a little nervous on that one so scrapped the idea.
When we pulled up to this gated home in the Hollywood Hills- I was thinking lord please tell me we did not blow out a tire and now have to walk back down this hill because honey it was WAY up there. But not to worry- we had just arrived at the Casa Perfect- the latest project from the Future Perfect group. And ya- it was Elvis’ former home with the gorgeous Priscilla!
The new showroom of Casa Perfect, founded in 2003 by David Alhadeff, is one of the world’s foremost contemporary design galleries. The entire concept has me fascinated! Hmmmm and thinking…maybe 1514Home could be next!
Newly renovated, the house retains many of its original features, including restored marble fireplaces and coffered ceilings. Sliding glass walls open onto a terrace with a lawn, a swimming pool and panoramic views of Los Angeles.
Casa Perfect occupies a building designed by in 1958 by architect Rex Lotery, then bought in 1967 by music icon Presley – who lived there with wife Priscilla and daughter Lisa Marie for six years.
This was definitely a highlight of the trip for me. Got my wheels turning on how to make 1514Home more of a sought after destination for our beautiful gallery and the views and hospitality were second to none. Thanks to Dwell on Design for sponsoring this trip! All opinions and photography are my own.
